| General Note: | Includes the version originally released as a motion picture in 1982, along with the 2002 20th anniversary edition. The 20th anniversary edition includes improved visual effects and animation, and adds six minutes of scenes cut from the 1982 release. The 20th anniversary edition recording is from its premiere at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and the musical soundtrack is provided by a live orchestra conducted by John Williams, in front of a live audience. Also includes over ten hours of additional features: introduction by Steven Spielberg; a documentary about the premiere of the 20th anniversary edition in 2002; a documentary about the making of E.T.; designs, photographs and marketing; interviews with cast and crew; trailers; production notes; cast and crew biographies; links to Universal Studios Total Axess web site (requires computer with DVD-ROM drive) |
